I design, create and sell handcrafted, custom sabers and other accessories and props, focusing on manual processes and finishes to give each piece a sense of character and story. I occasionally offer work for sale on eBay, I also buy and sell home hifi and AV, computers and workshop and craft items on eBay, among other things, and enjoy these as hobbies and interests.

Good item and value
Good value and quality, not really anything else to add. The holder/tool roll has ties at the back as well as being able to hang it up with the 2 holes.

Great tool, bit annoying flaw to design
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I bought this for cutting small (mostly 1 to 3mm diameter) consistent lengths of metal rod and tube for model making.
While it generally does the job well and is and will be a time saver, I have a real niggle with one aspect of the design, which is with the lever that folds over to hold the stock in place while cutting. If using smaller stock, as I am, it doesn't touch it, and will only actually hold larger stock in place unless you put some intermediate sized stock in between to press on and hold the small gauge stock in place.
There's a screw that secures the lever to the body, which led me to try to unscrew it so I could flip the lever for smaller stock, but this wouldn't shift with a screwdriver, including after applying heat.
This doesn't take away from it being very useful and functional, but I was disappointed that a workaround was immediately required to use an otherwise pleasing tool for its intended purpose.

A mixed bag of sweeties

- I like these Director's Label DVDs - they really succeed in giving a bit of a representative, collaged impression of the director they're covering, from they're most polished work to personal and spontaneous snippets, plus the included mini-book is a nice touch as well.
This Spike Jonze one is no exception - lots of good music vids, some nice surprises of one's I'm not familiar with (such as Pharcyde) and some very watcheable asides and extras. I'd recommend this for anyone who recognises and likes any of the videos on it and would like a further glimpse into the person and creative process behind them.
Not to take anything away from Spike Jonze, but my favourite of this series I've seen so far is the Michel Gondry one, it's even more choca ewith good stuff, so much as I recommend this, I'd recommend you treat yourself to that as well, and if you can only afford to get one at the mo, consider getting the Michel Gondry one first.
