Every page is packed with helpful commentary.
I find this edition to be just what I wanted and needed to help me better understand: the purpose for having the written Word, the authors of each book, the people it was written about and for, and God who created and loves us.

Eight books in one; saves money, shelf space, and research time.
I've read the KJV and the Living Bible, which seemed to be easily understood. Here is the way to keep pace with other versions being read aloud in our group Bible study. Having other versions will help with understanding the meanings of passages which might otherwise be quickly skimmed over.
