A great botanical artwork guide
This book is a good guide when practising drawing flowers. It by no means teaches you how to actually draw flowers, but offers advice and tips for initial lines and colouring. There are some good traceable sketches to practise colouring flowers and helpful notes on every page. On each spread there is an image of a pre-exisiting artwork on the left and Baines' interpretation, colour palette and notes on the right, which are a good aid. All in all I wouldn't say this book is worth the full RRP due to the lack of written content - and there isn't an abundance of sketches either - but it does serve its purpose as a guide very well.
