I was born illiterate in a Brooklyn, NY hospital. I lived on President Street next to the Gallo Brothers and was babysat by each of Joe's sisters who became nuns. Then my parents moved to Rockaway Beach. This caused me to be a beach bum but enabled me to listen to the ocean and the sounds of the day and night, and making being near water a necessary nutrient. My deep interest in collectibles and antiques came about from a friend that turned me on to yard and garage sales. She wrote a syndicated comedic column for weekly newspapers. First, it started with restoring vacuum tube radios, then mechanical watches and the mistake" of a degree in poli sci and political geography I was hooked. Now I can frequent rural areas when not working always trying to acquire something to share. We are living in a remarkable period of convergence. I was beyond fortunate to have Stan Veit, who owned the first Apple store in Manhattan allow me to play with the toys from Steve Jobs.

Solid State Hard Drives
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Solid State Drives just about replace archaic mechanical drives. They offer much quicker read and write times and use less energy than their predecessor. The best analogy is the comparison with a vacuum tube and solid-state devices. The only thing to be aware of with SSD is that there are SATA and Mac types. It's like purchasing an electric car. The standard plug for most electric cars from Ford to BMW does not work with a Tesla that requires a proprietary plug. SATA drives are constantly being improved yet most are downward compatible with another earlier SATA versions. What I don't understand is why all SATA drives are not low level formatted since basically, it's an improvement in USB thumb drive technology. It's not difficult to use Win 10's Disk manager and make one extended partition. This excellent Samsung Drive came pre-installed with Windows 10, making it plug and play. I installed it to my Thinkpad in 30 seconds. The only other thing to consider is that the SATA drive is not as "thick" as the mechanical hard drive. My solution is to use a styrofoam sheet to ensure a positive connection and fit. Finally, the only thing to avoid is using tools for mechanical drives that arrange data to speed up the hard drive. It isn't necessary. The bottom line is getting a SSD and speeds up your machine's read/writes with a device that uses less energy..

Protect your felines with Frontline Plus
It is essential that we ensure that our feline friends are protected aganist fleas and ticks. There are just too many diseases carried by fleas and ticks, and they really enjoy making a home in the fur of our felines and actually dining on their blood. Often the fleas and ticks carry serious illnesses and they give them to our felines. Of course going to a Vet is like us going to a doctor, tends to be expensive and the cost of pet meds purchased at the Vet is quite expensive. I have learned from experience that the best way to purchase flea and tick medicine is to go to Ebay and get the bulk packages, like the shelters use and use them monthly not just during the warm months for maximum protection of our felines. I prefer Frontline Plus.
