just works like it should and inexpensive
pros: inexpensive, just works, uses standard batteries, high visibility back-lit screen can be toggled on or off to save battery life. Also reads location RH. Tested in my shop on dry maple, dry guitar wood, thick locust slabs being air dried, covered firewood pile, uncovered firewood pile - all read about what I thought they should. woods I tested ran between 9% to 45%.
cons: need to select one of four resistance levels based on wood species - not a lot of woods listed for each setting - this will require some experimentation but looks like hardwoods around here are mostly level 3 (readings don't change that much between levels). I use rosewood, vermillion, purpleheart, ebony, koa - none of these were in the lists
overall: great meter for the money, seems rugged enough for the shop. easy to use and read

Great assortment, good price
very complete point set at a really good price, standard threading fits both my 'harbor frieght' large indicators and my 'mitutoyo' indicators. Just what I needed for a guitar string-height indicator I fabbed. Also good for setting my thickness planer and jointer knives.
