Better than a new one
Even though 1hp might be considered under powered by today's standards. this little 1hp router gets it done and gets it done smoothly and fairly quietly. Back when they made stuff to last longer than a few months. No plastic motor housing to crack or break like my newer router.

It's a switch!
Looks to be a quality made switch with positive detents in every position. Only two cons : !. The knob that comes with it doesn't fit the shaft with out some work to either the shaft or the knob. 2. No very many schematics available for the 6 position switch, you'd probably be better off with the 5 position switch if finding every single combination on your own isn't your thing.

It works
Very inexpensive for what you get. some cables could be a little longer, but not necessary. It worked perfect. I was able to retrieve all the files I wanted from an old hard drive without any problems. A must when using a laptop since you can't easily add the old hard drive to the system like a desktop pc.
