Nagaoka MP-200 - the lilac sleeper is a top MM cart

The MP-200 cartridge is a distinguished performer. Well defined liquid bass paired with natural midrange and detailed but never hard treble presentation. The soundstage has realistic size and depth. Tracking is very good, although it is forgiving with vinyl in non-perfect condition. Alignment is due to the cube-like form no problem at all. Recommended tracking force is 1,75 g. The MP-200 suits very well with medium to higher mass arms. The pairing with a low capacity phono stage of higher quality is recommended to enjoy the cart to full effect. Attention should be paid to handling/cueing as the boron cantilever is more delicate than simple aluminium tube cantilevers.
