Very Fresh Memories

There have been lots of collections featuring well known Patsy Cline hits. They have been good listening, but somehow missed something. Here, complete, are the only 3 studio albums released to her fans while she was still living. They build a complete picture of Patsy Cline while she was living and reflect the mood of those times. It is a musical time capsule. Add to this two EPs from the time and an extra album's worth of fine songs and you have this collection. The quality of sound is excellent but, better still, the time when Patsy Cline was alive has returned.

Good introduction to Count Basie

If you have wondered about the breadth of work from Count Basie but not been quite sure where to start, then this set is an excellent introduction. The quality of mastering is more than adequate for full appreciation of his music. The only down side is that you may end up needing to buy more of his albums. Then again, this set may be enough to provide you with a complete collection.
