Take what you like and leave the rest
I have to admit I find the ear pinching, particularly incorporating a chain (with detailed instructions and photos yet), to be rather incomprehensible coming from someone who espouses otherwise caring and humane methods. The fact that it apparently works, doesn't mean, to my mind, that it's acceptable. That said, there's so much excellent information in this book, I'm not inclined to throw out the baby with the bath water. If you do nothing more than switch over from a "training" to a "teaching" mind set, as Diane proposes throughout the book, it's well worth the money...and getting your nose a bit bent out of shape. As with any training (or teaching) method, you use what works for you and discard what doesn't.

Helps with GERD cough
It has really helped keep my GERD cough under control, although over the years, I've had to up the dose from once a night, to once per day and twice per night. At this point I could go to twice per day, but it started giving me the runs, so had to back off. I also add some baking soda to anything acidic (i.e. 1/4-tsp per 1-1/4 cup coffee and 1-1/2-tsp per large saucepan of mild chili), so that helps too.

Thinner and doesn't cover as well as old bottle
It's thinner and doesn't cover as well as an older bottle that I purchased locally. I have to use it sideways (or upright and from the side) to keep from having too much come out. And I did shake it well. I've done 2 coats and will likely have to do a 3rd or 4th coat on a couple of very slightly worn spots. It's so-so regarding the quality and, considering that, a bit less so on the value.
