Too sloppy for precision use
The build quality, at first appearance seems great. The knobs work smoothly, the camera mounts firmly. However, there is WAY too much slop in the system. I can't use the button on my camera to fire, as it wiggles around too much. Inserting a piece of plastic between the rail and the lower mount stabilizes it a bit, but is at best a cheesy solution.
You get what you pay for when you buy cheap China stuff.

You get what you pay for.
Initial reaction of the device is that it looks very nicely constructed, and appears very durable. The knobs feel high quality and rotate easily.
However, there is quite a bit of slop in the design. With your camera mounted, it will wiggle around as you make adjustments. This could be an issue if you need exact positioning of the camera for each shot.
