Disappointing follow up

I enjoyed The Marlow Murder Club but Death Comes to Marlow was a let down. It lacks the detail and characterisation of the first book. I guessed the killer early on and was right, always disappointing. Then the How- dunnit was so far-fetched it was ludicrous. I had looked forward to reading the rest of the series but won't bother now.
