A great way to help young children to develop a desire and love of reading that will last a lifetime.
My mother bought Young Years for us as children, I bought it for my children, and now, I was grateful to find it so that I could buy it for my Grandson.
Reading is fundamental and as I heard a comedian state, "fun to mental".
I'm 62 now and receiving this book as a child is one of my fondest memories. Rainy days and restriction went by virtually unnoticed thanks to Young Years and the many, many, well-written stories. The best thing, the stories are all in one book and so one can curl up with Young Years, a blanket, and a snack and be entertained for hours on end!
I've made Young Years a tradition for every child born to our family. Three generations and counting.
I was one of 5 and so could not rightfully claim the book when I moved away from home. The fond memories are enough that I'm considering purchasing one for myself. I think I shall!

Entertained!
Great mini series. I watched it when it aired and was not disappointed in the least! I have watched it no less than 10 times since then with as much delight and wonder.
I can remember setting up everything so that I'd not miss one second. This was in the days when some of us still used antennas and so it was a challenge at times but well worth it!
