OK washer at a silly price
You have to change the washer when replacing the parking brake shoes because it is a safety critical item. If possible, I always buy replacement parts from aftermarket companies made to the OEM specification but unfortunately I could not find another supplier of this part. The Toyota price is always ridiculously high. This washer is a perfect example as it is a simple washer of a specific size and shape which would have cost 1p to make but by the time you have paid the Toyota purchase price plus postage, it has cost you about £5. Toyota are typical of the extortionate prices that car manufacturers charge for spares. The pricing level seems to be based on the assumption that the part was hand-made by master craftsmen from platinum. As a washer, it does its job.
Please remember that you should always replace parking brakes shoes on both rear wheels at the same time and so you will need to order 2 washers.
