Could be more sturdy

Imitation runs far short of DD

Let me start off that if you want to buy this thinking it will be anywhere near a DD sight dont. I bought this out of curiosity. The metal is about half as thin as a DD and is not 6061 heat treated. The rear small sight was too small and I had to drill it out to size and a cheap harbor freight drill bit did the job in about 5 seconds. For a cheap plinker or fun gun I think these are a great value. Don't put this on a rifle you plan on using for home defense or any serious use. I could see them breaking with one inadvertent bump into a wall. But for cheap sights I think I'd probably buy these again. The front sight isn't too bad but the rear has some optical illusion where the bottom of the side meets the base it curves in making it look canted. My guess is the metal is too brittle to mill thicker and it would snap if it wasn't so thin. Just be aware speedpak shipping takes a while to deliver and USPS won't keep you updated.

Refurbished, not new

The item I bought was obviously refurbished with the serial number missing and looked rougher than my old one. It works well though. Can't complain
