Aquila standard nylgut soprano strings
Very good strings nice for a mellow tone bring better sounds from laminate ukuleles, reds are nice too, but if you want a bright sound clear fluorocarbon are better. Martin are very bright and Worth strings are slightly quieter I have found

Fenton 170.172 speakers
When I first got these speakers they seemed odd to me as I am used to plain wood speakers, these are damped with acoustic carpet, the speakers are not expensive or high end.
When I first put them on my hi fi (Sansui 331), I was not too impressed with the sound, but I only bought these to see me through as I intend to buy some Wharfedale or Mordaunt Short speakers in December.
Well I have been playing them for a few days now and they are starting to play in very well. They do say they speakers need play in time especially cheap ones,? I have to say in this case I have been surprised in a good way, I did not like them at all at first they sounded muddy, however they are now sounding open and clear, they play well with any genre of music I have put through them.
I thought it might be as I have been playing them all the time I have got used to them, but this is not the case they have definitely got better with playing in.
Just thought I would share this in case anyone needs some cheap speakers to see them by as I did, I am not saying they compete with high end speakers but for the money they are worth a try, just play them in and give them some time you may be surprised as I have been.

Great material for nuts and saddles
A good nut, sadly didn’t work on my guitar as I should of realised it’s a low nut this one is just under 8mm high so was too low but this was my error, I’ve used black tusq many times it’s excellent,
