Lightweight Sweet Protection for your backcountry or freeriding
Pros:
- Lightweight-good for backcountry or if you want a lightweight freeride helmet. Much lighter than my Smith Variance non-MIPS.
- Comfortable with adjustable fit. I have the M/L with a 57mm head so it fits nice and snug with some wiggle room. Size up if you wear something like a beanie or baclava underneath if you are at the edge of the size range.
- 2 Adjustable vents with inserts for audio chips
- Great look and quality: Know color and look is subjective --but a very RAD looking helmet., I have Navy-dark blue and the circular horn shaped vents and the low volume look is awesome. I was tired of having to ID my Smith in the lodge since everyone has the same helmet!
Cons:
- Can run a bit small if you are on the edge of the range so size up...
- Don't know yet if the helmet will have the longevity of the Smith but so far it feels/looks solid
- Venting is built in and throughout with 2 adjustable front and 4 back vents but not like the 26 vents of the Smith. Orconsider the Sweet Protection Switcher MIPS if you want more heft and vents and are willing to pay more.

Attractive, very cushy, mid height trail runner or around town shoe.
Very comfortable shoes. Added a simple shoe insert (Dr., Scholl's type) and it is very cushy now and absorbs perspiration. The top debris sock is very snug yet not constricted during wear. It is not a "put it on in a rush" shoe as it takes a bit to get your foot into it-- though the loop on the back heel helps you pull your foot in, Speed laces seem to work and can be cinched as tight as you want. Haven't tried it in water or strenuous hiking yet but it seems almost too nice a shoe for trail running! Purchased the black with red accents --very nice looking so that you can wear around town doesn't look like a hiker.
