A Great triumph of the Downton Series, and for all the fans
I am not sure if it is common to have an Asian man who are born and raise in East Asia who actually so enjoy the TV series of Downton Abbey (free with my Prime subscription, thank you!), and now also the movie. I can go into it in great details but I'll just brief. The underlying theme of the generational and cultural conflicts, goodness and evil in all human being, and evnetually that most of the goodness shining through, though standard receipes for successful literature/film/TV Series for ages, are so well done with a good dose of kindness, irony and drama in the capable hands of Julien Fellows and BBC production crew, makes Downton, one of the most successful franchise in recent BBC history. The fact that it is so successful without needing to resort to all the success formulaes of the Game of Thrones types gives us still hope for consumer taste and the future of the Western entertainment industry, though only a slight glimpse of hope of human decency. I can only say as much in the limited space that there is. However, it is hard for people who had not expose to the TV series to truely appreciate the quality of the movie, such my wife, is rather unfortunate. As for the physical product, the DVD itself was delivered to my door step through US Postal Services quite flawlessly. The DVD is new and in great condition! What else can one ask?
