It reeked like it had been stored in a musky, moldy container for years. The stench filled my house immediately. Thought it was just the packaging, but no, the tripod itself stunk. I even ran it through the dishwasher's sanitizing cycle, hoping that might help, but it came out still smelling bad. The odor is deeply embedded in the tripod. Disappointing purchase due to this overwhelming smell."
