Sempervivums for the enthusiast
This is a (US) book written by an expert breeder. It is for the enthusiast, rather than the casual reader. Some of the varieties described don't appear to be available in Europe, but many are, and includes many by European breeders/collectors, as well as information about those individuals. Includes information on how to go about making crosses between specific plants.
An excellent book for those wanting a greater depth of knowledge of Sempervivums.

Did the job
Used it to stick back firebricks that were falling out of my old Rayburn. Did the job admirably.

Excellent for the casual coastal visitor.
Not suitable for boating or sailing, where a high degree of navigational tidal accuracy is required, but for coastal walking, beach going, rock pooling etc. where all that is required is a general idea of the approximate time of tides, and whether it is on the ebb or flood, it is perfect. It covers not only the whole of Scotland, but Northern England, and the Northern and Eastern coast of Ireland as well. Covers a two year period. Also indicates spring tides.
