good old model
I have liked the Surge, and I especially like the Fitbit friends that challenge me to do more. There are reasons the Surge was discontinued, but I like the price on this version. Someday I hope to save up and get the Iconic that is more waterproof, more programmable, and has the switchable band.

Good old trick for an old dog.
This is my 5th or 6th Surge. I know what it can do, and what it can't. This particular one, is a little older and worn, but the price was appropriate. The screen got a little glitchy when it got a little wet, but it is a little old, so I try to keep it dry. The Surge had a poorly designed band, and I am adroit and used to changing them, so I was ready when this one showed up with a worn band.
FitBit doesn't make the Surge anymore so this old dog appreciates not having to learn new tricks.
