Exquisite but fragile detail.

THE DETAILING IS ESQUISITE, better than my other K4 and it runs better too. Do check to ensure all the small parts are securely fastened and that you handle it carefully.

Long term proven performer.

I've had the President Polk version for a couple of decades. It's always run well on DC pulling a full set of Capital Limited RPO, passenger, and lounge cars up a slope that's 2 - 3 degrees. I like the detail and am about to convert it to DCC with sound. If that works I'll buy another in the same series.

Acurrately measures to scale with great detail.

Actual 1/87 (HO) scale components not 1/100th scale like the competition these replaced - at least for the hieght and width dimenstion. The thickness of the supporting edge component is a bit over for addes strength, sanding to fit, and gluing. My project required putting a 90 degree bend in one of the windows and doing so did not crack the outer surface. Great attention to detail and modeler's needs
