Great book but flawed!
An excellent companion to the Sharpe books set in India and other places not covered in the other companion volume. Unfortunately my copy is marred by a large hole in one of the pages - this seems to be a manufacturing fault rather than an after sales issue. A real pity as it makes it difficult to ‘love’ in this state!

Excellent
An excellent, if lengthy, read of Nelsons early life and career. I read it before Sword of Albion, the second volume. John Sugden’s books are compelling, very accessible and not in any way stuffy. Written in plain English and with a huge depth of research. The book will build up your arm muscles by the end!
