Fantastic iconic addition to my growing Seiko collection! Once I get bracelet sized, I plan to get a huge kick outta wearing it!

Alpinist is a Great Watch!
Love it. Looks great, keeps great time. Strap a little stiff but expect that to change with wearing it. Considering other SARB’s as finances allow. Huge bang for buck IMO.

Gen 1 Orange Monster is GRRRR...-ATE
4 von 4 finden das hilfreich Got this gen1 orange monster off eBay 8 days ago. Have worn it 24/7 since. It’s keeping great time, gaining about 1-2 secs. a day right now after initially losing the same for several days. Love being able to read it all night. Love its in-your-face brashness & it’s bold declaration of toughness, & rough-&-ready-ness, combined with its individuality & a certain classiness. Have had other Seiko’s & they’ve all been good to me, so was predisposed to stick with the brand. Heard & saw a number of expert watch reviewers on you-tube raving about all the Seiko Monsters. Have just purchased gen2 Orange Monster partly for its “shark teeth” hour indices & for its other improvements over gen1. Bidding on a gen3 [Navy] Blue Monster. You could say I’ve been bitten by the Monster bug!! Gen 1 will probably be my everyday Monster, but time will tell ( pun intended!) I love this thing & look forward to it joining its 2nd & 3rd gen. relatives in our little Monster family.Oh, and it makes a great sound when you hold it tightly up against your ear .
