Home tuning for the beginners
This is the easiest way for a beginner to get instant extra bhp out of their car. The process realistically takes 24 hours as you must connect to the car, copy the ECU data onto the handset. Then plug into a PC and upload it to Superchips Server, they evaluate it and send remapped ECU data back to the handset the next day.
You then reconnect handset to the car and upload. It takes 15-20 and confirms installation at the end of the load cycle.
Hopefully you will notice instant extra power. I found with mine the car ran smoother but no real kick of power, so contacted Superchips who provided a 2nd Version map.
The revised map was what I was expecting, noticeably more power from earlier and later in the Rev range. Taken from a warm to a hot hatch. Website said expect 20bhp extra but got 23bhp. Fuel economy has stayed the same but would probably improve if I had a lighter foot. Plenty of eBay promotions these days, so got nearly 40% off by buying at the right time.

K&N wins again
I have had K&N filters on many cars over the years, some just drop in filters & others full induction kits. I have always found them very well made and the service kits easy to use. In this case I picked up a 2nd hand E-9289 and gave I a deep clean in a mix of washing powder & fairy liquid to get it deep cleaned, then re-oiled it with genuine K&N oil. Gave 3BHP over standard filter on remapped Focus TDCi and Revs are much smoother/picks up lower down.

Pioneer Custom fit upgrade speakers for Fiat Punto
These are a great upgrade from standard speakers,they are much clearer and have more depth, even better if used on a stereo with a high pass filter. For best result upgrade rear speakers aswell and add a sub for bass.
