Quiet, well-designed cooling solution for audio cabinets
I purchased the S1 single fan unit to install in our new audio cabinet to accompany our new tube-based integrated amp. For safety and dust-related reasons, we were hoping to put the integrated inside the cabinet. I chose the S1 based on its design, specs and size.
Overall, this is an excellent product. The template for laying out the mounting was accurate and the cord is long enough to route outside to plug in and still keep the speed switch accessible. At the highest speed it is slightly audible during quiet music passages but not obtrusive. It would probably be quieter if I had mounted it in one of the side wood panels, but wanted it out of sight so I mounted it in the rear Masonite panel.
I fully expect this product to meet its desired purpose for my application and I wouldn't hesitate to buy an Airplate product in the future.
