Rebuilding a Walbro HDA carburetor
It's genuine, it's OEM, affordable and fits the HDA series of carbs, what else can you want? Well the kit is missing a spring that biases (closes) the intake valve (supplied). Strange that. If the spring has failed (unlikely) or falls on the floor (sproing) and can't be found when you are rebuilding the carb, you will be out of luck. the point is be careful when you disassemble and then reassemble this mechanism. I carefully rebuild these carbs in a pan keeping the parts in one place in the process.

Good battery, good value.
It really is impossible to review a battery early on in it's presumptive service life. However this one is being used in a battery backup supply which means it sits all it's life with a full charge and only if there is a power outage is there any drain. This is likely to be a rarity and so it leads a mostly quiescent life. I expect it will last quite some years. (I've never had a sealed lead acid battery that didn't live and I can only presume it's of good quality). Meanwhile it cost $20.00 + tax. Low risk and it has a one year guarantee in case it is a lemon.

Bax, Arnold The seven symphonies, Handley
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Handley's performances are extremely fine. He was an advocate for Bax all of his career and his deep understanding and love for these works comes through again and again in all sorts of details, not to mention the overall conceptions.
A problem exists in the Chandos' recorded sound which is somewhat diffuse. This can be mitigated to a fair degree by turning up the volume, though that may disturb some listeners. I say this when listening on first-rate equipment. Chandos had previously recorded a Bax symphony cycle conducted by Bryden Thomson in an even woolier sound which do no favors to the more relaxed performances he provided.
Two other sets should be mentioned. David LLoyd-Jones leads a very good traversal on Naxos but the sheer rightness and authority of the Handley even in less analytical sound carries the day.
The other (first and incomplete) set on Lyrita deserves special mention. These are analog recordings from the early 70's conducted variously by Myer Fredman, Raymond Leppard and Norman Del Mar. Of the seven symphonies, Lyrita never got around to recording #3 and 4. No real loss about 4 (it's rather a bore) but it's a shame they didn't record 3 with Fredman who conducted 1 and 2 superbly. In fact all of these recordings are not out-classed by any other either musically or sonically They are currently avaailable from on three CD's at $18.99 per disc. I have the LPs but the Lyrita transfers I've heard (not of these works) are really first-rate.
To my mind tauter and more dynamic performances of this music is requisite for a real appreciation of Bax otherwise it can sound rambling and unfocused. Bax was a superb orchestrator but a less than stellar tunesmith and so a more up close soundfield and decently defined dynamic range is much to the point.
As for recommendation, I wouldn't want to be without the Handley set or the Lyritas. The Lloyd-Jones is a genuine runner up in close-up sound and I'd leave the Thomson set out From a cost point of view the Handley set with a bonus disc of discussions with him about these works and another discussion in the booklet will be the least expensive. I see a new copy on ebay for just a few cents less than $33.00 shipping included and there are used copies as well for less. The Lyrita LPs on ebay are priced at nutty numbers.I don't think you can buy one of them for the cost of the Handley set. Whoa. Date posted: 8/29/19
