Nice little filter.
It's compact, has a decent water flow, and it's pretty cheap. I am carving out a space in the lower filter sponge to put some carbon in, or maybe some Polyfilter. The only improvement would be to have plastic screen baskets to hold other filter media, like carbon, etc., that would replace the two sponges.

While the individual plants are very small, you get a lot of them for the money!
