Very useful and well made.
Very useful piece of kit. Why didn't I buy one of these years ago. It's very useful for maintenance tasks on other bits and pieces that need a third hand, apart from a bicycle, such as axes, shovels etc and even, a wheelbarrow. It is especially useful as a light stand for a couple of garage lights that I use. It is well made and easily adjustable.

Good tool that is easy to use and saves time and bother.
I would recommend this item and it is good quality. Is it good value? I've said yes but to spend close on to £30 for 5 mins work would seem to make it expensive, especially since I probably would only use it once in three or four years. However, it did the job well and easily and saved a load of time. It was simple to use and i fitted the top bush as well as the oil seal with it. It was easy to fit and the weight of it was such that no extra force, such as a hammer, was required. It's made of a solid piece of metal. I don't know how much it weighs, probably close to 1lb or so but you wouldn't want to drop it on your foot. Just slide it up and down the fork and the seal moves into place. I was worried about scratching the chrome but there was no danger of that. There's plenty of space between the side of the tool and the stanchion. Like most of my special tools, I rarely use them but they do save a load of time and bother. I only hope I can remember where I put when I want to use it in a few years time.

excellent piece of kit
excellent piece of kit at a good price. simple to operate, worked well and saved time and sweat. one reviewer said he had trouble when the spring decompressed. the spring is held in control at all times and i had no problem. i held the fork in a clamp rather than the compressor and this made it easier to use.
