Backed the right horse

I've bought it within a month or so because my old Ortofon stylus was put effectively out of action as the result of my cat's leap right upon the working turntable. First I purchased as a replacement a NOS Ortofon stylus that gave very weak signal; it had to be additionally amplified which brought a lot of problems. So, I finally realized that the whole cartridge was to be dealt with. The dealer advised the Sumiko Pearl--the product I'd never heard about before. After brief consulting the WWW I decided to buy the cartridge which I installed without any trouble. I think I backed the right horse. The new head is obviously better than the old one was before the accident. It's made a good match with my aged Dual 701. The only thing unusual is the recommended tracking force of 2gr. A little to high for an elliptical stylus, IMHO. The sound is real good...so far... at least as long as the cat's access to the turntable is denied.

gut und bequem

ein sehr gutes und bequemes kabel fuer jeden, wer nicht viel raum fuer geraete hat. Nachdem ich ein paar "normalen" cinchstecker kaputt gemacht hatte, begann ich nach einem kabel mit winkelsteckern zu suchen. Ich habe dabei nicht mehr als ein centimeter gewonnen, doch es war genug. Also... gutes ding und dazu billig.

Thanks for the good reading

It's a real great book. I've just entered Smolensk in its smoldering ruins. To tell you the truth, I hardly read smth of the kind about this war, although it happened in the country of my birth and I was somewhat crazy about the Patriotic War of 1812 when a schoolboy. It's a true story, hard-hitting as it is to everyone on both sides. As for the Russian names, which can and do constitute a big problem for many English and French writers, this author is perfectly accurate. In a word, I'm thankful to him for that as well as for everything he has achieved with his great work.
