The Gilmore Girls
This is an extremely entertaining series based on the fictional Connecticut town of Stars Hollow. With a great cast of quirky characters and with some very fine actors and truly colourful characters it never ceases to entertain. The amusing and sometime dramatic storylines are very well scripted and cover just about every social situation that might arise in a small and close-knit community. It has a small town feel but the topics covered reach out to most of us to engage the viewer with almost every episode. The series basic motif explores the relationship between a mother and daughter in a New England community and covers issues of race, social status, class and gender in an often dramatic fashion.
