The fact one cannot skip a partial channel, like 2.1, 2.2 & 2.3, skipping channel 2.2 is not possible without skipping the rest of the 2's. If 2 is deleted, IT'S DELETED, not skipped. A channel scan is required to get it back.
On the up side, when setting up a recording, to start at 8:00PM, it is allowed to press the number 8 & 00 on the numeric keypad as a direct entry. Most units, the UP & DOWN arrows is the only way.
The picture quality on my DR570's is better than my Panasonic DMR-EZ48V.
