I wanted this as an access point to a corner of the house not reached by WiFi from the router (the house is wired for gigabit Ethernet). It does the job nicely, creating a new network with the built-in default SSID and passcode. Changing the SSID and passcode did not take from the setup wizard, but it was easy enough to find the settings and change them. Speed to the Internet is 75 Mbit/s, which is about all I could expect from a 100 Mbit/s connection to the house. The device looks good, arr

I bought this for the main bore of a pepper mill. At present, I'm working with white cedar just to get the steps all sorted out. This carbide forstner bit makes a decent end-grain cut in this wood. I can go half-an-inch at a time before getting the chips out and letting the bit cool off. With walnut, I'm expecting to work in smaller increments but I hope for a better finish inside the hole (less tear out).
