The product is critical on camping gas cookers. It must not transfer the heat from the cooker pot stand to the cooker body, to stop spilt fluids passing through the cooker body, and be robust, but it is easily lost or damaged when cleaning the cooker.
It is small and made of soft material, and expensive.
