A Beautiful story of love, loss, forgiveness and friendship.

I bought this book as part of the Five in a Row curriculum for my 5 year old son. I loved the story! We were able to discuss Joseph's coat from the Bible, quilting, death and dying, living in a cabin without electricity, friendships and forgiveness. The story brings tears to my eyes and I think this is one of the loveliest stories for young children I have ever read. No dumbing down here--this is excellence. The illustrations were wonderful and matched the stories content beautifully.

This book is such a blessing-- Ann helps you see the blessing and gifts that are in our everyday. Her search has been my search-- she describes what her eyes see and her heart feels in a beautiful, almost poetic way. She opens a door into her heart and brings you into her very own experience. Everyone can benefit from this book and see what a difference it makes when we become grateful for all of the blessings God has so richly given us-- and most of all, we are able to understand better how we can be thankful and have joy even in the most heartbreaking situations in this life. Jesus really is all we need, His grace IS sufficient. I am learning to savor life, slow down and be thankful in all circumstances. To truly live a spirit filled life, we must be thankful --
