Stay in Tune with Graph Tech BLACK TUSQ XL String Trees
Have you ever been frustrated with keeping your strat in tune? Sure, we all have. Especially if you're a trem user who craves the sound of dive bombs, vibrato, and excessive whammy bar abuse. I've tried graphite, petroleum, and oil-based lubes. I've broken down and rebuilt my strat countless times, used higher string gauges, implemented the old "two-down, four-up" screw technique with marginal results. How about removing the string tree altogether? Great. Now my guitar sounds like a cheap sitar with tonal imbalance in comparison to the other strings. So I upgraded the bridge to a higher quality, 100% steel model, which improved the tone, but a little creak was still audible from the headstock when dipping the bar, with or without a string tree spacer. Some would say, "Get a two-point fulcrum oldie!", but we know what that means—loss of tone and vintage good looks. One thing I've learned about the value of having a string tree is that it not only improves tone on the high E and B strings, but also the other four. Why? Because it increases tension on the neck resulting in a stiffer action on the other strings, at least that's been my experience. Some players may be content with that, but I crave the pure timbre of crisp, bell-like chime and solid, yet smooth playability. Finally, at my wits end, I decided to try a BLACK TUSQ XL string tree from the innovators over at Graph Tech. Wow, what a difference! The kink in the tuning chain was instantly eliminated and strings literally slid back in tune as advertised. I recommend sanding down the "spacer" portion of the string tree for increased pressure on the nut, allowing just enough angle for the strings to lie flat against the back of the nut slots. Thanks Graph Tech for bringing us one step closer to the hassle-free state of tuning bliss.

Great value without all the excess bells and whistles!
I found this phone while searching for affordable flip phones on eBay. At the time, I had been using a few others off and on, such as a Motorola Razr V3 and touchscreen device similar to the iPhone. I had the razr for well over a year, so not only was it beat up looking, but quite dated. The touchscreen design may be good for young girls with thin fingers and a data plan, but for someone like me who just wants to make a simple call to his mother once a week I didn't care much for all the apps and scrolling I had to do. Let me tell you...this phone is EXACTLY what I wanted! The OS is fast, the design is compact, and I can now make a call with ease. Tri-band is all the connectivity I need. The only reason I don't give it an excellent rating is because the call quality can be a bit distorted at times, but generally it sounds quite good for such an affordable cell phone. Give the T419 from Samsung a try and you'll get everything a phone was intended to do.

Nice looking watch. Keeps accurate time.
I like this watch because it's not too wide like other men's watches on the market. It's a bit thick for my preference, but not too bad. One thing I noticed is the second hand isn't aligned with the tick marks. This issue is more aesthetic and doesn't seem to effect it's ability to keep time accurately. It's not an expensive watch, so there may be slight variations in the precision of each one produced. Re-aligning the hands is a delicate procedure, so if this is important to you, I would recommend sending it to a repair center under warranty or buying one in person with the hands properly aligned instead of online. I found the best way to set this watch is to wait until it's 11:59, pull the crown to stop the second hand when it's approximately over the 12 tick mark, center the hour and minute hands directly over the second hand position, then push the crown in at the exact moment it turns 12:00. This ensures the hands are in sync with each other for a full revolution. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase.
