Villainous humour all year
The scenes for each month are very creatively done, based on famous movie scenes featuring each movie’s villain, but the focus as always is on humour, rather than horror.
The calendar itself feels great quality, maybe even better than the normal Violent Veg calendars.

Fantastic details for small size
The horses have amazing detail for their small size - most are a mirrored version of their larger counterparts from Collecta. Some of the legs are a bit curved but that’s due to the thinness and material they’re made from; they can probably be gently “trained” to be straighter. The case is sturdy, with a carrying handle but the closure is quite stiff and could hurt fingertips/break nails when opening. Levering it open would be a good idea. Could be used as a pencil case or similar if the horses weren’t going to be kept in it.
All the horses have their breed name moulded onto the inside of one of their legs, which is handy if you lose or recycle the included collectors guide.

Nice details and can be expanded
Great for horse enthusiasts, the stable is detailed and can be modified to an extent (you decide if you want the stable doors open, closed or ajar, and if you want a larger block you can add more kits pretty much seamlessly). Extra card needs to be added to some areas during construction, in order to help keep things flush, but these pieces can either be cut from the kit leftovers or cereal boxes/similar thin card as needed.
White PVA glue or similar, plus clips to hold card pieces together while they’re drying, are recommended.
There are some really nice HO scale horses out there that can be added to the stables to complete the mini scene.
I recommend the Preiser figures if you’re after really fine detail.
