Great Puzzle
Very colorful puzzle with plenty of detail and variation to assist with finding pieces. Most of the same color pieces have slight variation which makes it easier and fun. The challenge to the regular jigsaw puzzle person is that the scene is not like the box cover at all. So there is no picture to work off as there would be with a regular puzzle. But then, it is meant to be a slowly unfolding mystery.
I started the puzzle before reading the short story because on opening the box, a quick survey of the pieces suggested a fun time and I couldn't help it. So far I've only had time to read a page or two of the book, but it seems like classic Nelson DeMille. Like his novels, the puzzle kept me up past my bedtime and threatened to make me late for work in the morning. Just one more piece. I usually combine paper and audio books so I can continue a story on the way to work. I haven't quite figured out how to do that with a jigsaw puzzle. But I'm working on it!
