Problem with Micro-Sim
An old mini-SIM (Alice) was accepted, the device baulked however at a micro-SIM. No adaptor trick (none that worked). Fair warning is given in the manual. That is something. What would have helped even more, a specific reason. The prepaid micro-SIM (Callmobile/Vodafone) worked fine (before and after). I did not pursue the matter. A somewhat dented Iphone 4 proved better value for money.
FROM THE NOKIA C3-00 MANUAL: "Do not use a mini-UICC SIM card, also known as a micro-SIM card, a micro-SIM card with an adapter, or a SIM card that has a mini-UICC cutout in this device. A micro SIM card is smaller than the standard SIM card. THIS DEVICE DOES NOT SUPPORT THE USE OF MICROSIM CARDS and use of incompatible SIM cards may damage the card or the device, and may corrupt data stored on the card."

Flimsy but better than nothing
[Full product name (Ebay-com): Zip Slider Rescue Instant Repair Kit.]
These 'one click' sliders, plastic, can be snapped directly on the zipper chain (after pushing open a tiny snap hook). Possible tools, either a thumbnail or the screwdriver from a spectacle repair kit. So far the theory. Problem, the slider kept snapping right back open once the zipper was zipped. Easy snap in, easy snap out. The clearance of the snap hook had to be reduced to prevent this. Possible fix, crazy glue. A somewhat delicate operation. One does not want to glue the slider to the zipper chain.
The defective zipper (parka, front) was of the common 'Easter Island' type (ad hoc name), triangular heads (teeth) with long necks and no concave-convex parts. The sliders may very well work for other types. The medium size did fit (supplied: small, medium and large). By visual alignment, medium will be equivalent to YKK size 5. Some military sleeping bags will require XX sliders.
The replacement sliders are held in place solely by friction. The pull-tab does not act as concealed 'handbrake'. The zipper chain (or the wedged in fabric) will press the two snapped shut slider halves (clams) apart (to increase friction). Well, sometimes the chain may press too hard.
The pull-tab comes off easily. Also easily reattached.
Advantage of an all metal slider, no spontaneous disassembly (well, it can break), no need for additional stiffening, runs smoothly. Disadvantage of an all metal slider, the required 'threading in' can be rather challenging, if doable at all. (A tiny 'surgical' cut near the top stop may help.)
It can be mentioned that various gliders/rollers for band curtains come with a similar snap in mechanism. Push each plastic spur through a concealed eyelet and snap it shut.
