Couldn't part with my TDMA versions, so I bought a GSM!

In addition to two of my TDMA versions, I just knew one day soon I'll be asking the V60i to take the helm again - so I purchased an ‘unlocked’ GSM unit from ebay. I removed the SIM from my newer Motorola(s) and popped it in the newly bought V60i and all is well. Since then, I disowned both my Razr V3 and V600 (both unlocked and utilizing T-Mobile's network) and opted for the unlocked Cingular branded V60i phone instead - mainly for its durability and exceptional reception and voice quality. Ask many cell users (and I'm referring to the many experienced adults) and they’ll testify that the V60i is indeed thee BEST cell phone ever manufactured by Motorola. The unit is very solid and we’re not talking cheap plastics here. It consists of hardened aluminum plates (call it metal if you wish) for the construction of its outer body shell - which can easily be interchanged to suit your taste from a variety of different colors available through the Motorola accessories catalog. I don’t miss the cameras from my other [newer] phones and hardly use them (if any), besides, I only take pictures with my Leica cameras – or nothing else. I honestly like the ‘simplicity’ of this phone more than anything else. One of the major plus is the outer LCD screen call logging, and mail activity; also as well as displaying the date/time. The main inner screen itself is well proportioned and tells you everything you need to know of about your tasks. For quite a long time I missed holding the V60i, but now I'm loving it all over again.

Expensive, but you get Made In Germany quality and it is worth every cent!

The one I bought was a white Pirouette but nevertheless it is an S7580 just like the one pictured and I am loving every minute of it! This is a completely sealed-system vacuum and the HEPA filter emits nothing but clean air back out so I feel less allergic to what I breathe (except for the plants coming from outside of my window which makes me sneeze). The S7580 also has an Automatic suction adjustment which lowers the motor power in case if I am cleaning the drapes, but there is also an additional six manual-level power adjustments which can also be controlled electronically via the (+/-) push buttons. The Swivel-Neck feature twists and turns effortlessly in any direction you drive it to -- does it much better than a Dyson ball. The amazing L.E.D. headlight not only adds beauty but it is also very useful in low lit areas as well which helps beam out any dirt particles the naked eye usually misses. Bottom line: the best vacuum ever made!

An average decent phone for making/receiving calls.

A friend of mine gave me this phone today (after my Razr's 'mic' had gave up and no one can hear me on the other end). The Nokia 8890 is a very decent phone in terms of size and design. It is small enough to fit in 'almost' any pocket and has a protective sliding cover and functions very similar to my 'V3 Razr' flip phone, this is a great feature because it protects and prevents you from accidentally activating the keypad [resulting in speed dials] on unaware occasions. The reception is decent and its retractable antenna also helps to give that extra oomph - if one happens to be close to a dead cell zone. PROS: *Powers 'ON' fast, powers 'OFF' fast. *Aluminum body and NOT plastic! *Retractable antenna *Protective keypad slider *Decent size to fit 'almost' anywhere. *Very strong reception!!! CONS: *The display does not show date, but only time. *Cannot assign individual ring tones to entry of choice (only as group) *Menu buttons are too close to each other (one next to "Send' and the other next to 'End') often disrupting functionality. Overall, it is a great back-up phone and very easy to use as far as making and receiving calls.
