Great part. Other reviews didn't read description well.
It clearly states in the description what the focal point is. This is designed for close up inspection. For me the focus from 3-8 centimeters was crystal clear. Then it starts to fade off but it's a bore scope. That's exactly where the focus needs you be. My laptop wouldn't accept the small CD so I used another computer and transferred data to a thumb drive. Then uploaded it you my laptop and ran install. That took 10 seconds. I plugged in usb bore scope opened program and it initially tried to open my web cam since it's my primary cam. I simply went to setting and changed it you the usb cam. The whole operation took 5 minutes. No brainier.
