CABOOOSE LADDERS FOR ATHEARN FREIGHT CARS
THIS ITEM WAS NEEDED TO REPAIR SOME USED ATHEARN CABOOSE PURCHASED FROM ANOTHER MODELER INORDER TO SELL ON EBAY. SOME MINOR REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENT PARTS WERE NEEDED INORDER TO PRESENT THEM TO THE BUYERS ON EBAY. IT IS FORTUNATE THAT PARTS LIKE THAT ARE STILL AVAILBABLE SINCE ATHEARN NO LONGER PRODUCES KITS FOR THE HO GAUGE MODELERS SINCE THEIR RTR LINE MIRRORS THE BLUE BOX KITS BUT ARE MADE IN CHINA AND THAT MANY PEOPLE STILL OWN, BUY AND SELL THE OLDER CARS AS WELL AS THE RTR MODERN CONSTRUCTED ITEMS IT IS NICE TO BE ABLE TO PURCHASE THEM FROM DISTRIBUTORS, INDIVIDUAL MODELERS OR RETAIL STORES. the cost today
I think many of the things either new or used are really too expensive and those who are selling have high expectations for items that do not have that great value. I think the rising costs will chase many away from buying for this hobby. and that apparently there are no deals buying foreign made items coming from China I am a full believer in supply and demand but realize that rising costs will elimated those on the bottom rung of the economic ladder and discourage those of less means from getting into the hobby which was affordable to most of us years ago. In 1960 I could buy and Athearn car for about $1.89 a kit while today a flat car with a load goes for as much as $40.....supply and demand may justify the cost, but common sense and an empty wallet dictates the number of folks who can entertain a thought to making that purchase. USEFUL MODEL TRAIN PARTS
THIS is a very useful model train item for the hobbiest who likes to improve the rolling stock and engines he or she operates on a layout. They are very functional and inexpensive plus easy to use.I would urge every modeler who builds or upgrades their freight cars to equip them with this product. THANKS SO MUCH
