Good Product. Needs a little modification
I have placed these kidney grills on my E46 M3. They are sturdy. They are good color (matte black) But the only issue is they didn't fit exact. Looking at my stock kidney grills the insert that the face of the kidney grills snap into (opposite side of hood) need a little modification. The stock inserts have a rubber "flap" across the bottom. Which fill in space that these kidney grills do need desperately. If you hit a good bump in the road or if you are on the track regularly the grills tend to move around. I was going to snap into my OEM inserts but my driver side original grill had some broken clips and that was the main reason I wanted to replace them, but I also wanted to go with a unique look. Saving about $100 is worth it if you can deal with the minor modification or if you can use your OEM inserts. Otherwise, if you don't want to deal with modification or using original parts, then go for the expensive OEM's from ECS tuning or Turner motrosport. The product is worth the $40 but don't expect direct snap on. The installation took me about an hours after modification. I am going to see how they look in 6 months and might need to update this review. Good luck, Cheers!
