Divine Retribution
It is always interesting to find that just about everyone has an ' Achilles Heel'. So the fact the book has also been described as opening 'Pandora's Box ', is very apt with its classical allegory. The main protagonists are a very self-centred and satisfied group, living in a comparatively perfect world. That perfect world is ruptured by Cecilias' weakness and strangely ; considering her perfect façade, insecurity. Her world collapses and that of others who also now begin to reveal their true identities and weaknesses. This is a compelling read. Although you know that the guilty parties will eventually get their just deserts ,you are kept guessing to the end as to how that will happen. Rather like prayers, which invariably are never answered in the way you expect.
