Japanese Version MarioKart 64 is Great - N64 Region Mod is Easy!
The Japanese version of Mario Kart N64 is a great even for those unable to read the language. The gameplay doesn't require explanation and modding the N64 console to accept Japanese games is fairly simple. It only requires physical modification of a plastic part and nothing else.

Excellent Replacement 3DS Joystick - Wide Compatibililty
Looks and feels like original parts. Despite being listed as incompatible with CTR-001 they do work. The flex cable connector is shorter but still long enough to work in the CTR-001.
