useful compact board great for experiments and day to day use
used for "development work" as its a hybrid ide/sata board ,I now have 3 of these running they do the job ok and were very inexpensive to put together (the PC's)only bad thing is you can only use 2 PCI slots ,so adding firewire and a sata expansion card to run more drives- thats it .Had 3,3.2 and 3.4ghz P4s running ,a bit hot with the 3.4 but survivable with a clean heatsink (watch the dust).Of note is the overall board is quite small, my first one replaced a Gigabyte GA8i848 and the asrock (short of 1394) is a good 4cm narrower - you dont get the drives poking across the pcb - i regularly had to remove ram/agp to replace drives with the Gigabyte.
