Masterful Early Effort by Michael Mann
Superior in almost every conceivable way to Brett Ratner's uninspired adaptation, this is a movie with wall-to-wall great performances, stunning direction and a script that possesses a sublime, almost intuitive, understanding of the original material. Also, if you like the 1980's look and fashion, you will appreciate the snapshot of those styles in this movie. Everything else about the film is timeless in its content.

Like sucking on a cheap piece of candy.
Quirky little TV movie that attempts to continue the Stepford series. The male lead is depicted as such an absurd jerk, the movie's solution for his behavioral problems actually seems almost reasonable. (Note: the guys in this movie are not being murdered and replaced by robots, as the women were in the Stepford Wives; the men are just being fed lots of pills to make them docile and suggestable). The movie is, of course, completely ridiculous and everybody in it acts like they've been given lobotomies, but it's a decent distraction, with lots of unintentional laughs. A must have only for aomeone who just must have every incarnation of the Stepford stories.
