Worth discarding 5 to leave 7
5 did not point north but the other 7 did. Still fantastivc value at 15 pence each for the ones that were OK.

Updated Maps - Yes
I have been using it for about a week and it does indeed show new roads which the previous one did not. The instruction that came with it were good and answered questions that I would otherwise have asked.

Replaces an Older Model
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Seems to be the only DVD Player and Recorder on the market which also has a Hard Drive. Bought as a replacement for an older model, an EX78 so much the same with some improvements like two tuners instead of one. Did have a problem in that the BT Vision Box already there, lost the picture for any BBC channels when the EX97 was powered up from standby. Luckely I had a spare aerial in the loft and the problem was solved. Could be better if the Power button and DVD eject buttons were not next to each other as it is somewhat annoying when you have a DVD in your hand, press the wrong button and the unit sayes "GOODBYE...PLEASE WAIT" then on pressing the power button "HELLO...PLEASE WAIT". Red and Green LEDs on the Power and Open/Close buttons would have been nice and an "Eject Tray" button on the remote. The LED Display in standby is very small and I find it difficult to read. Compared to the old model, I think some ease of use has been sacificed for reasons of style.
Problems though many, are minor and the main thing is that it a very capable machine and if it proves to be a reliable as the old EX78, I'll be well pleased.
