Sloppy fit
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich The machining of this part is fabulous, it looks nice. My issues with it are while the throat diameter is perfect, the mounting holes are so oversize that the only way to insure that the carb, spacer and manifold are aligned is to assemble all three together on the bench and then wrestle everything onto the motor at once. If you've ever dealt with o-ring manifolds on a Shovelhead you know what a pain that is. The other issue I have is the outside profile of the spacer doesn't match the S&S carb and manifold flanges. The spacer is almost a 1/4" larger all the way around. Makes it look clunky and out of place. Being short of time, I will try and make this part work. If I had more time I would return it and try a genuine S&S spacer or grind it down to match my carb/manifold. One other small detail - there is no Yost name engraved on the part, so I can't even be sure this is a true Yost part.
