Frida
I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, while my husband thought the movie was kind of weird. We both agreed Selma played a great Frida and great acting on her and Diego's character. It kept us both awake and God bless the real Frida! She was strong, faithfull and driven!

Gripping Tale; great characters.
The movie portraits the trials and tribulations of humanity, no matter the ethenticity of the individuals.
My husband really liked it and he did not read the book. I loved it! I read the book first and then I saw the movie...only way to go. Of course the book is much detailed, for instance, the movie is missing the suicide scene right before the nephew makes it to America. However, I'm glad they left it out.
Other than that the movie is pretty close to the book's story. The characters in the movie are just like I'd imagined. A tear jerker too.
I highly recommend it and if possible, read the book first.
