I have one of these in both my sheds which are about 25 yards and 2 walls away, when i first fitted them then kept going off till i noticed that the swallows just arriving from Africa were flying in to check out nesting sites
i am very pleased with this product and would recommend it

drinker for ducks
helps to try and stop my ducks using the water to make mud waddles , does not totally stop it but helps
